Myeloma Australia’s annual fundraising and awareness event is back.

Join us for a walk around Brightwater Lake to raise awareness for Myeloma.

Myeloma is an incurable blood cancer that affects 22,000 people in Australia.

Why are we walking to raise awareness:

• 27% of myeloma patients die within 18 months of diagnosis.
• 50 people are diagnosed with myeloma each week.
• #1 most expensive blood cancer to treat.
• 31% recent growth in positive diagnosis.

Fundraising helps with research and funding for support for those diagnosed, including Myeloma nurses.

BBC’s Antiques Roadshow comes to the Sunshine Coast. 

Arts National Sunshine Coast is delighted to announce that Marc Allum, a 27 year veteran of the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow is the first presenter for ArtsNational Sunshine Coast 2025 Arts Talk Series. 

 In a two-part session, Marc will share firsthand fascinating insights behind TV’s most watched antiques programme the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, and then, based on the Antiques Roadshow’s premise, Marc will choose an array of objects to talk about to the audience. There will also be an opportunity to talk to Marc at refreshments after the Arts Talk.

The Coolum Art Collective is once again exhibiting their art this Easter at the Coolum Civic Centre, 9am to 5pm from Friday April 18 to 20, and on Monday 21 April, 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.

This popular event will feature a diverse range of art and crafts by some of the Sunshine Coast local artists and artisans.

The art is entirely original and comprises both traditional and modern styles in all mediums.

The official opening will be by Rosanna Natoli on Saturday 19th at 3.00pm.

Entry is free with the opportunity to purchase art works and various items from the artisans on display. There will be something for everyone.

Join us to commemorate ANZAC Day with the Glasshouse RSL at our dawn service in Settlers Rotary Park, Reed Street at 0600.  A gunfire breakfast will follow.

The march will form up at 1000 at Pitt St car park, where we will march to Community Hall for the main service at 1100.

Light lunch and two-up will be available at the RSL.
