AIDC and Screen Queensland, with the support of Sunshine Coast Council and in association with Sunshine Coast Screen Collective, are proud to reveal the complete session program and speaker line-up for this year’s event at Maroochy RSL on Friday 7 August.
Leading the program is Academy Award®-winning co-director of ‘Free Solo’, CHAI VASARHELYI — joining us remotely for an exclusive session, ‘Limitless Filmmaking with Chai Vasarhelyi’, sharing insights into her creative practice, filming in extreme environments, and crafting complex global stories that have reached audiences around the world. Her acclaimed body of work includes ‘Meru’, ‘The Rescue’, ‘Love War’, ‘Lost in the Jungle’ and ‘Wild Life’.
The day is packed with sessions covering documentary financing, character-led Queensland feature doc storytelling, successful series development, and a roundtable with attending decision makers – plus the ever-popular Doc Chat 1:1 Meetings and Networking Drinks to close out the day.
The decision maker line-up includes commissioners from ABC and SBS, representatives from Screen Australia, Screen Queensland and Documentary Australia, alongside leading producers, distributors and industry experts from WildBear Entertainment, DocPlay, Changer Studios and more.
